The Soiree in the City Bridal event is here again! Save the date!

Soiree in the City is the premier Bridal event of Philadelphia. The best of the best will be there to help you plan your perfect wedding. Couture Seamstress Needed

I am looking for a couture seamstress to hire on a per dress basis. I am based in the Philadelphia area, so locals are preferred. Needs excellent construction and cutting skills, hand workmanship skills, pattern making skills, excellent pressing skills, good communication skills (must speak english). My studio is available to work out of if you need sewing machine / supplies / etc... Fees are negotiable based on detail and construction of each dress. Fabrics and patterns will be provided to you. All dresses are one of a kind so there is a fresh new project to work on every time! You will be required to attend some fittings with clients.

I had such a fabulous time designing Melanie's dream wedding dress! From the beginning, I was loving the ideas we were working with and it all came together perfectly for her Big Day! The beaded and sequined lace gown hugged her perfectly as the shear hand sewn top with vertical cut out lace framed her face exquisitely! Silk covered buttons accented the back of her gown and was topped with a silk dupioni sash that went from ivory to black for the reception! I completed her look with a silk floral hair pin with pearl bead details. Erik Matey captured every moment perfectly and did a phenomenal job!
Melanie, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I loved working with you and giving you a dress that you will cherish always. You looked spectacular as a Bride!!!

My Fox Philly Top 5 Winner of Wedding dresses 2009!

I just wanted to thank everyone for supporting me in the My Fox Philly Hot List for Wedding Dresses 2009! Darcy Law Couture was voted TOP 5 among the wedding dresses division and I am truly excited about it!!

Alexis Mabry's Wedding dress

Alexis came to me about 6 months ago wanting a unique wedding dress for her big day. After discussing budget and style, I came up with this design for her that I absolutely love. Going against the traditional full length gown, she opted for a 3/4 length alencon lace number. I am so happy with the way the dress turned out. Alexis is going to be beautiful in this dress on her wedding day August 15, 2009. Congratulations Alexis and can't wait to see your photos! Congratulations Kim on your marriage July 4th 2009!

Kim's wedding dress was completed the last week in June and I was thrilled with the way the dress and veil turned out. I will post her wedding day pictures once they are in! Her wedding day was spectacular from what she told me. A fourth of July wedding seems magical. Kim, you were such a doll to work with and you are a vision of beauty in your dress. Kim's second fitting update

Kim came by Wednesday for her second and final muslin fitting. It went great and she looked beautiful...even in muslin! The next step is cutting the real fabric out and getting one last fitting in before the final details are complete. It's the countdown to the finish line...
